Ingredients for this spangly mouth blasting lovely pot of stuff
approx 4 or 5 glugs of olive oil
1 red onion - chopped into little bits
2 cloves of garlic - crushed
3 peppers of all the colours of the rainbow - chopped into little bits
millions of mushrooms - chopped into slightly bigger bits than the other bits.
millions green beens - chopped in half.
millions and a bit more peas - i just used frozen ones
2 and a bit pints of chicken stock with three big shakes of paprika and turmeric in it.
2 packets of frozen fruits de mer - defrosted.
half a packet of risotto rice.
a load of king prawns to put on top and look great
a lemon or a lime for some zingy bits.
a couple of olives thrown in for mmm bap bap.
what to do to make your mouth go pop yum.
whack your big old pan on the heat and throw in your glugs of oil. add the onion and garlic and cook it for about a minute. then add all the bits of pepper and cook for another minute. then the mushrooms get to meet the mixture so throw them in. Coat every little bits in the oil and make sure its looking and smelling great.
Then (this isn't what i did but this is what i would do next time) toss in the rice and make sure the rice is coated in all the lovely oil and then pour pour pour the stock and spices in to make lovely smells and colours. leave this for about 10 minutes to boil up and get going.
After a lot of boiling and rice expansion, put in the packets of FRUITS OF THE SEASHORE. You're nose might grow wings and flutter around for a while cause it smells so good but that's okay - as long as it doesn't touch the light. Leave this bubbling - probably for another 10 minutes-ish. Just make sure its all cooked up great and the stock is boiling off to make some gooey greatness.
Now its decoration time. Decorate the top of the Paella with king prawns and olives and your lemon or lime. then cook just until the prawns turn to pink!!
SERVE UP BABYCAKES.
And then your mouthdancing will occur.
