Virgin Pasta Creation

I recently found my mums old pasta maker in the loft and since i've got a bit cooking MAD i just went for it. I've never made pasta before and I read up on so many recipes before hand because they all said such different things. In the end I used 280g Plain Flour 4 eggs and a splash or two of water.

I was nervous because I always cock stuff like this up, but honestly it was so fun and easy.

All you do it throw the egg and flour in a food processor until its breadcrumbs, and then add a splash of water. Give it a good kneed and pop it in the fridge for an hour.

After an hour cut it in half and roll it out to about half a cm thick. Start with the pasta maker on the widest setting and feed it through, fold it in half and feed it through again. Do this about 7 times until its almost sparkly.

Now every time you feed it through go down a width on the pasta maker. It gradually gets thinner. I did it to the second from last setting and then put it through the tagliatelle setting. BEAUTIFUL.

Finally hang it up to dry off a bit.

It will only take a minute to cook so rock up a beautiful sauce and when thats all made and beautiful throw your homemade pasta in bubbling water.
